The Column Cub I facilitate had such a powerful conversation as a result of this post today. The discussion ranged from how to think about bringing Onlyness to a project vs. to a career. A project can be a static moment of everyone leveraging strengths/talents and nailing it. A career - well it's so fluid. Is Exceptional something that can even be defined? How do you get clear on what you value? and what is valued about you? And.... if you bring what you value how do you match it up to make the most of your career and be supported in that? Last, but not least, we talked a lot about meritocracy = the system we've been used to in corporate life. And if you don't use the traditional meritocracy system - where a lot of it is based on who knows/sees/hears what you're doing vs. whether you're doing the right things - then how do you measure it?
