@Nilofer, I am currently reading Radical Candor by Kim Scott. As I listen to your words to Healthy Tension, they remind me of how Ms. Scott relates to the "growth trajectory" that folks are on at different times within their life and/or career. It is, to me, letting everyone have the microphone at the "right time" for them ... not at the time "we" deem to be right or what may "seem to be the right time" for whatever reason. It really is a personal thing ... speaking up and/or listening with your goal/reason/requirement and/or need second to theirs is truly the way to live and understand Onlyness, from my perspective anyway.
It's funny, Greg, I just talked to the literary agent to helped Kim birth both of her books, and we're talking about maybe working together on book #4. I've got some homework to do around that now. But how serendipitous of you to connect her insight that we have to be ready to do a conversation with candor.
