Hi, all, Garry Turner here. I’m one of the Onlyness Column Club leads by way of introduction. 

The club is an idea Katie Hingle, and I had; instead of a "book club," we unpack, discuss and see what applies in the Fully Alive @work column. It’s the best 60 minutes of any week; those who show up have consistently and enthusiastically said it’s a profoundly hopeful and co-creative learning space.

I write this invitation, having just arrived home from my land of confusion. A land where we are creating a 5-year strategy focused on 'double-digit growth,' heavily through M&A as if there is an infinite growth target and capacity that we humans and the planet can take up. All the while, the ability to execute that strategy thru tapping each person’s Onlyness is entirely missing. Gah. 

As Nilofer says, we can see where we want to go, but we still need to figure out how to get there. Together. 

Which is my way of saying…I CAN NOT wait to discuss the two recent columns with all of you and the questions they raised. 

• The Land of Confusion: How do we name the invisible conflicts so that we can resolve tensions before they fell our teams, our work, and our companies? 

• The In Practice of Even/Over Statements: a simple tool to resolve the conflicts inherent to any choice, so one creates a working strategy rather than wishes.

• And, of course, how do we get comfortable stepping away from our conditioned linearity to embrace and value the complexity that Onlyness holds?
